Networking Events

Complimentary Evening Membership Meetings are held five times a year (usually the first Monday of the month in February, April, May, October and November). MABA Evening Membership Meetings take place at Fitzgeralds of Middleton, located at 3112 Parmenter St in Middleton. Meetings include a family-style meal, plenty of time for networking and a program.
Each Builder and Associate Member-of-Record receives complimentary admission. No pre-registration necessary. If the Member-of-Record is unable to attend, the member may send someone in their place. Affiliates and guests pay $20 at the door.
Held in March (in lieu of a membership meeting), Casino Night is an MABA fundraiser for its Legal Action Defense Fund.
Each year in May, in conjunction with National Membership Day, the Programs Committee holds a social event, including a cookout dinner, at Capital Brewery. There is no program at the event, which is designed strictly for networking. Registration fee varies annually.
One of MABA’s most fun social events is the annual MABA Golf Outing held in July. A shotgun scramble format, relaxed and fun-filled buffet dinner and door prizes make it one of the most-anticipated and well-attended events sponsored by the Association. The WBA also holds an annual outing for members from across the state, usually in August. Registration fee and location varies annually.
Held each year, usually in September/October, the Silent Auction is MABA’s most important political fundraising event. Funds raised help support the election of pro-housing candidates. Location varies.
The Holiday & Installation Dinner is held each December. At this special event, the incoming President is sworn into office along with new directors, officers and committee chairpersons. MABA's highest awards are presented—Builder of the Year, Associate of the Year, Green Built Supporter of the Year and New Member of the Year. Pre-registration required. Registration fee and location varies annually.
Twice a year, MABA holds an informal reception for new members. The reception provides new members with an opportunity to meet the Board of Directors, staff and fellow members. It’s also a great time to get questions answered and find out more about upcoming events and membership benefits.
Six times per year, the Membership Committee hosts a complimentary New Member Orientation/Pizza Party. New members for the past five months are invited to attend. New members, staff, and representatives from the Board of Directors and Membership Committee meet over the lunch hour to discuss the benefits of the Association.
